Let buyer's see your home looking spacious and clean.  People are busy, and imaginations are weak.  Don't let a buyer think if they buy your home they are going to have to clean up after you.  Do the work.

De-Personalize

Remove excessive family pictures, and all taste specific items from display so the buyer's can imagine their things in your home.

Fix It Up

Do not show your home if you have unfinished projects.  First impressions are important, and most home showings occur when a house if first listed.  Be ready.

Leave

Always leave your home when someone is looking at it.
