Freezer Freshness
Freezer Savings for Everyone!
by Nikki Willhite

When you are young and raising a family you often purchase a
freezer to help store all the food your family eats. When you are older, when it
is just you and your spouse, you may think you do not need a freezer. Think
again!
A freezer is just as important for smaller households. A freezer is a huge money
saving tool and it makes for simple living.
When you have a freezer you can buy food in larger quantities and sizes at
stores like Costco and save money. Yes…you could shop with a friend and then
come home and divide it up, but few people do that. It is much easier to buy
your food, bring it home, and then divide or cut it up into the amount you will
use for the next few weeks. The rest goes into the freezer.
You can buy your favorite treats and put them in the freezer to be eaten on
demand! You never have to worry about eating items before they go stale. This
stops a lot of recreational eating with the excuse that you have to eat items
that are getting old. This is much better for both your health and your
waistline.
Most items that you put in the freezer will come out the same as when they were
put in. If you buy a package of ice cream sandwiches you can stretch it out over
6 months. Another thing to think about is this. That same package of ice cream
sandwiches, put in the freezer of a growing family, would not last more than a
few days.
You can eat really good when you use your freezer. You can eat what you like
when you want to eat it. Don't bypass the benefits of a freezer as you age. It
is a frugal, simple living tool.
